Parent Support Squadron
The Parent Support Squadron functions as the fundraising and community outreach arm of the AFJROTC Squadron of Carroll County. Volunteer parents are elected to hold the positions of President, Vice President, Treasurer and Secretary. Their duties are to collectively create and organize events (such as dances, car washes, yard sales, etc.) to raise monetary funds and to facilitate community outreach opportunities for the Cadets (such as Light the Night, Earth Day cleanup at McIntosh Park, etc.) Parents also plan and execute morale boosters like the Military ball. The Support Squadron is tasked with raising money for spirit wear, flags, color guard, CIA trips, competitions and more.
No organization is successful without a supporting foundation. As part of the Parent Support Squadron, we hope to garner your participation in making sure that your Cadet and the Squadron have opportunities available to them to learn and to grow. That can't be accomplished without your leadership at home and in the Parent Support Squadron. It takes money, participation and strong commitment to leadership to help give our Cadets the experiences and learning opportunities that we'd all like for them to have. Come be a part of our Parent Support Squadron and watch our Cadets grow in knowledge and confidence!
